I was looking for an „non-PC Instrument“, that can produce Techno Sounds for the „Kinetic Techno Machine“. My research brought me to the modularsynthesizers. A fully analog electronic Instrument (like a e-guitar with much more possibilities) was developed in the 1960s and in the late 80s the startpoint for technomusic.

I wanted to start into modular at Summer 2018 with 700€ in a bucket. At this time I visited Schneidersladen in Berlin and come back with 2 eurorack modules and a powersupply.

Back home I cut some cardboard and built my first eurorack case. Some weeks later I was definitely done with this verly limited modularsynthesizer and looking for some „student budget“ extension.

The Winter in 2018 cames and the cold days let me stay home. At this time I bought my first soldeirng Iron and tried to make some modules.

For me, the first was a horrible desaster. After weeks I spent all my money into electronic supply but nothing works. I had no prior knowledge, so it was not possible to me to find any mistakes on my stripboards or the „free-stripboard-sheet“, somewhere from the deep web.

An half year later, I had more „non working“ modules than modules that do their job. I realized that I have to learn much more about electronics. Thanks Youtube, your teaching was awesome.

For the Frontpaneldesign I was thinking about my first love: my skateboard. I made skateboards, and skateboardupcycling products for Vucker Skateboards from 2007 until 2018. I wanted to bring this lovely colorfull wood design back to my modular.
